Subotnji ručak i neplanirani tečaj tkanja / Saturday lunch ending with an unplanned weaving and spinning course
I zato, evo prve ovogodišnje tkalačke i predačke pričice.
Knock, knock......here I am, back with the latest news. The year has started extremely busy, then I fell ill around new year's time, after that we started preparing for the move, packing, moving flats, the unpacking. Once you settle down and organize yourself, the visitors start announcing their arrivals. Overall, once I tried to remember when did I make my last woven piece, I have realized that I have not been weaving for over a month and a half (if not even two months).
My Dad called earlier last week asking what is happening (better saying - complaining about lack of update) with my blog. My instant answer was that I did not have time for weaving, therefore I could not make an update on the blog and write a new story.
Well.....he must have found that a rather lame excuse and answered: "A blog is a blog and weaving is weaving!". It made me step back and think a bit. He is probably right, but since I have already named it a weaving blog (tkanje), I planned on writing about weaving, spinning and other hand-made stories.
Therefore, here comes the first weaving and spinning story of this year. Yesterday afternoon, we had invited my colleague with his family over for a lunch. What started with an early afternoon lunch, ended up being the weaving and spinning course for the whole family. Mom and her five and six-year old daughters learned how to weave, while the younger daughter and Dad learned how to spin. The result was a couple of meters of colored fancy wool yarn as well as a scarf for one of the girls which she partly has woven herself, another part was done by her mother.
What they have not manage to finish, I finalized this morning, and made the similar one for the other girl. This was my first woven piece for this year, with many more to come during the year.

ipak si se pokrenula,
valja ponekad uzeti u obzir i roditeljsko misljenje.
Slavonka
