Kapica i torbica/Small hat and bag
Kreativni prvomajski vikend.
Plan radi fenomenalno.
Evo slika:
Creative weekend. We were going away, but I could not be myself if I wouldn't have packed and taken the smallest of my weaving looms, since I knew there would be some free time to weave something. I was right.
It has been some months since I introduced the practice of creative, self-made presents for the kids, rather then buying a chocolate, bombons, biscuits (or pijamas). I would take some time to weave a small scarf, hat or something else, preferably useful and nice. So far, the plan worked out fabolously and makes everyone happy. Mom's, Dad's, grannies, grandpa's, and the happiest of all have been the kids. I usually take care to match the colour depending whether it is a girl or a boy, since every small girl (sadly enough) adores pink and Barbie-like things, while the boys are easy, although the blue should be around. This time, I made the present together with its' received, a 4,5 year old Sebastian. He was thrilled to have been able to choose the wool, and help with warping the loom and weaving in the weft for his small hat and a bag (we planned the scarf, but it was too short, so we made it into a bag later).
I made it using some orange wool for the warp, and self-span coloured merino wool in the weft. Here are the photos:
