Crni i naranzasti svijet/Black and orange world
Ovako je tkalacki stan izgledao jucer popodne. Nasnovala sam oko 2 metra dugu osnovu od pamucnog konca Matko (Unitas), i odlucila napraviti crno bijelu kombinaciju sirine 50+ cm u keperovom vezu. Prvi metar sam zavrsila jos jucer popodne, i zapocela drugi metar u razlicitoj mustri. Prva polovica je narandzasta a druga crna.
This is how the weaving loom looked yesterday afternoon. I warped it with 2 meter long and a little over 1/2 meter wide warp with cotton thread named Matko from Croatian company Unitas and decided to make two pieces. The first, black and white piece I finished last night, and started the second meter in a different pattern, at first in orange then black.
I have just taken my weaving from the loom, and this is how the final works look like - black/white and orange/black combination. It is very soft on touch, and it looks great. Will make a nice table cloth, although it could be a nice fabric as well.
The spinning wheel is working again! I have also got a "Bunny Bag" from Christine. Bag full of wonderful white and fluffy angora fibre, fresh from two angora bunnies. But, more about that over the weekend. It should be raining tomorrow, and I plan to spin and weave. The plan is to make the back part for the new and light wool jacket, and probably start a new pieces in one of the patterns which few people believe are possible to weave on the loom.
